SAFEDOOR’s fire resistant manholes are placed on the floor for the inspection and the maintenance of electromechanical networks. Their fire resistance index is 120m. They can be visually completely in line with the surrounding floor surfaces. SAFEDOOR’s fire resistant manholes have been approved and installed in many stations in the Athens Metro Subway Network.
These are fire doors or fire windows that trail horizontally or vertically and have similar function as standard fire doors. They have a counterweight system, a fusible link and a eletromagnetic hold open, so they close up automatically when the fire starts.
The fire barriers offer the ideal solution in case of E/M crossings between fire compartments, such as metal or plastic piping, metallic ducts, cable trays, cross conveyors, etc., where fire isolation is required. This installation has the approval of the Greek Fire Service Authorities.
