AF BAGS

AF BAGS are firestop pillows for electrical system penetrations which seal cable, tunnel and other openings that connect different rooms.

AF BAGS are recommended when frequent systems maintenance or modification is required. They can be easily removed and re-positioned once the work has been carried out.

AF BAGS consist of a non-combustible glass fibre casing, treated with a special polyurethane product containing intumescent granular material, thermal insulating aggregates and products which gradually release water. The AF BAGS expand as the temperature rises (over 180°C).

As the heat increases, they modify their physical structure and simultaneously release water vapour and absorb energy. As a result of the heat, the swollen internal structure solidifies, creating a highly insulating cell structure.
